In the picture a plot is made of various full electric vehicles. On the axis the vehicle mass, battery capacity and related quantities like range and charging time are plotted. It is also a motivation for the design of the electrified Lupo by the TU/e: low mass and a large battery capacity, which enables efficient use in the Netherlands for most people and trips. An impression of the Lupo EL design can be found here, follow @Lupo_EL on twitter and see also the (Dutch) item about winning the Challenge Bibendum.

Would be nice to see the Toyota RAV4 and GM EV1 in this overview, two NiMh-cars that were ahead of the crowd by more than decade.
